Tampa ranked No. 3 on the seventh annual Hotwire Travel Value Index study. The study evaluates the top 50 U.S. leisure markets, rating them across three categories to get a ranking for consumer vacation value, including air, hotel and rental car prices and discounts, and the cost of entertainment. The index is based on a statistical model that combines both in-house and third party research, according to a written statement. Orlando ranked No. 1 on the index.
